If you've had a delayed flight with Eurowings, submit a compensation claim and get up to 600€ from the airline. While they are not part of the worst airlines in the world, Eurowings are far from being among the most punctual ones as well, as you can see in the Flight Performance section below.
However, not all flight delays are the same. When the airline is responsible, it’s only fair that passengers get compensated for the delayed flight. That’s what the EU Regulation 261/2004 is all about. You can get up to 600€ in compensation for your delayed flight with Eurowings, depending on the length of your journey. To be eligible, you must have reached your destination at least 3 hours after the originally scheduled time of arrival, and the airline must be responsible for the delay.
But there are situations in which passengers are, unfortunately, not eligible to compensation. If the flight was delayed due to reasons outside of the airline's control and the airline had done everything in their power to get you to your destination on time, they do not owe passengers any money. Those "extraordinary circumstances" nullify your right to compensation.
The easiest and fastest way to check your eligibility is to fill out your flight details in our Flight Delay Compensation Calculator. In less than 2 minutes, you will know whether you are entitled to money from the airline or not. At ClaimCompass, we have already helped tons of passengers get their compensation from Eurowings. Some of Eurowings’ flights are also cancelled, leaving passengers into even more trouble. The airline isn’t always responsible, of course - in some cases, the decision is out of their control. But when Eurowings is responsible, passengers are once again entitled to a flight cancellation compensation.
In the event of the cancellation of one of their flight, the airline is required to let the passengers know at least 14 days prior to departure. If Eurowings failed to do so and were responsible for the cancellation, you may be entitled to compensation under EC261, which acts as the reference in terms of passenger rights for flight cancellations.
Don’t forget that if the airline cancels your flight, they also have to offer you a choice between a rebooking on an alternate flight to your destination as soon as possible (provided that seats are available) or the refund of your ticket. That’s independent to your right to compensation.
