Airlines do their best to respect their initial schedule - but that doesn’t prevent them from arriving late from time to time. While some delays are minors, those above 3 hours are particularly annoying for their passengers. ClaimCompass seeks to turn that bad experience into a better one by helping travellers who suffered from such a delay get up to 600€ in compensation for their trouble.
The EU law known as EC261 is the reference for the protection of air passenger rights. It states that in cases of long flight delays, airlines must pay compensation to their passengers. However, if the delay was caused by circumstances out of Corsair’s control, then the airline doesn’t have to pay.
The amount of your compensation varies according to the distance of your journey, from 250€ to 600€. You can use our Compensation Calculator to determine how much you are entitled to in less than 2 minutes. All we need is your flight number, itinerary, and a few more info.
You might be entitled to up to 600€ from the airline!
Some of Corsair’s flights are also cancelled, leaving passengers into even more trouble. The airline isn’t always responsible, of course - in some cases, the decision is out of their control. But when Corsair is responsible, passengers are once again entitled to compensation.
In the event of the cancellation of one of their flight, the airline is required to let the passengers know at least 14 days prior to departure. If Corsair failed to do so and was responsible for the cancellation, you may be entitled to compensation under EC261.
And remember: if the airline cancels your flight, they also have to offer you a choice between a rebooking on an alternate flight to your destination as soon as possible (provided that seats are available) or the refund of your ticket. That’s independent of your right to compensation.
Corsair can be a real problem to deal with when claiming for compensation. First, because their online form is only available in French - and the airline only provides statement in French. It’s not such an issue for claim agencies like ClaimCompass, but for individual passengers who don’t speak the language, it’s a real barrier. For a long time, the online form that passengers could use to submit a compensation request was filled with technical issues. In short, it made it impossible to submit a claim. As a result, Corsair’s claim processing score is among the worst ones. But Corsair has recently changed their online form (still only available in French, though) and improved their average processing speed. While these changes are not reflected in the data since January, we are confident that the performance of the airline will keep improving.
At ClaimCompass, we’re dealing with Corsair on a regular basis and have already helped passengers get their compensation. If you’ve had a delayed or cancelled flight with Corsair, we will help you get the money that is owed to you.
