      Azores Airlines Flight Cancellation Compensation

Some of Azores Airlines’ flights are also cancelled, leaving passengers into even more trouble. The airline isn’t always responsible, of course - in some cases, the decision is out of their control. But when Aeromexico is responsible, passengers are once again entitled to compensation.

In the event of the cancellation of one of their flight, the airline is required to let the passengers know at least 14 days prior to departure. If Azores Airlines failed to do so and were responsible for the cancellation, you may be entitled to compensation under EC261.

And remember: if the airline cancels your flight, they also have to offer you a choice between a rebooking on an alternate flight to your destination as soon as possible (provided that seats are available) or the refund of your ticket. That’s independent to your right to compensation.
