Which size of luggage is allowed for your carry-on? Which weight?
Excess baggage fees can be a pricey addition to your trip. Things get even more complicated if you constantly switch airlines, as it is easy to fall prey to the popular assumption that size, weight and number of pieces allowed is standard across the board.
Even though the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) makes an effort to standardize cabin luggage requirements, the latter varies.
To avoid unpleasant surprises, here’s a list of what's allowed on some of world's major airlines.
