Even though it isn't a European airline, you could get 600€ in compensation for your delayed flight with LATAM. When your international flight with LATAM is delayed, there is a chance that you’re eligible for a compensation. But because LATAM is not a European airline, this applies only to their flights departing from Europe, not to flights leaving from Latin America and arriving in Europe.
Why can you hope for a compensation in these cases? Because the EU Regulation 261/2004 (EC261 in short) protects your passenger rights. For example, if your flight arrived late due to air traffic control restrictions, adverse weather conditions, or any other extraordinary circumstances, you won't be entitled to a monetary compensation. If, on the other hand, the airline could have prevented the delay, they must enforce your right to compensation. This happens in the case of a technical problem, for instance.

Keep in mind that the EU law is slightly more complicated than with delays. The exact amount varies according to more factors, including the length of the delay for example. Also, your eligibility depends on when (or if) the airline warned you about the cancellation. If the airline notified you at least 14 days in advance that your flight was cancelled (or rescheduled), then you are not entitled to compensation.
